Exploring the History of Titan in Destiny 2

Since its launch in 2017, Destiny 2 players have been captivated by locations such as the EDZ, Nessus, Europa, and by the eerie beauty of Titan, with its abandoned human settlements and methane oceans. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at Titan’s history in Destiny 2, from its first encounters with the Hive and the Fallen to the mysterious Leviathan that resides in its depths.

As players near the final stage of the Strider quest, they encounter Quin Laghari, the Archivist of Neomuna City. During this exchange, Quin Laghari reveals a critical data packet received from the Occlusion, which states:

"Urgent: Saturn VI contains vital information. Enemy of Witness on Titan. If still living, preservation paramount. Do not waste time."

It’s worth noting that “Saturn VI” is a reference to Titan, one of the many moons surrounding the gas giant. Given the urgency of the message and the current state of the game, the Vanguard is determined to waste no time in locating this “enemy of the Witness.” But how will Titan make its return to the game?

The Return of Sloane

While exploring Titan in Destiny 2, you’ll encounter Sloane, the formidable former member of the Titan Vanguard who now serves as the planet’s primary vendor. Sloane’s unwavering dedication to protecting humanity is matched only by her no-nonsense demeanor. When Titan was removed from the Destiny universe, it seemed as though Sloane had departed for good. However, a recent sneak peek from the Destiny 2 team for season 21 has revealed a suit of armor that bears a striking resemblance to Sloane, but with a significant alteration – her arm appears to be “taken,” which could have major implications for the storyline moving forward.
